Artificial Things (2018) at International Documentary Film festival Amsterdam

Artificial Things, shot on 35mm film and directed by Sophie Fiennes (director of Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami and The Pervert’s Guide to Cinema) is currently at International Documentary Filmfestival Amsterdam being shown alongside Sara de Gouveia’s The Sound of Masks.

A dance film set in stark, deserted offices. Some of the dancers have a disability. Exhilarating, energetic and moving.

Artificial Things is a collaboration between Sophie Fiennes and choreographer Lucy Bennet from Stopgap Dance Company, an inclusive dance company based in Farnham. Cinematography by Remko Schnorr.

We are proud to have had Artificial Things here at Hijack for audio, grade and deliverables.

Catch the remaining showings on the 21st, 23rd and 24th November by purchasing tickets through the IDFA website.
