The ALEXA MINI LF introduces a number of new features to the ARRI Camera range including Codex High Density Encoding (HDE) of ARRIRAW, which can reduce file sizes by up to 40%.
Which means higher resolution images without huge increases in hard disk space to store it.
Moving away from the CFast cards of the Alexa Mini, this camera also uses new 1TB Codex Compact Drives. Prores files are now saved in an MXF wrapper, so may require some additional plugins in order to play on your Mac or PC.
The video below gives additional information, but if you have any questions about using the ALEXA MINI LF on your shoot please get in touch.
