The Aesthetica Short Film Festival is an international film festival held every year in York, UK. ASFF screens over 400 films each November, from emerging filmmakers to established names and is a BAFTA-Qualifying short film festival with winners having gone on to win awards at BAFTA and the Oscars as well as other festivals such Sundance and SXSW. The programme also includes industry masterclasses, networking sessions and panel discussions.
Hijack will be at the industry marketplace on 8th November and our new trailer will showing at screenings, but also we are proud to reveal that new for 2019 is The Hijack Visionary Filmmaker Award.
This award is for a director with exceptional vision and a unique cinematic voice. Included as a prize is a post production package with Hijack including grade, audio mix, online and deliverables for the winner’s next short film.
The award will be announced at the closing ceremony on the 10th November.
